IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO BUY JUST ANY PROPERTY FROM JUST ANY REAL ESTATE AGENT FOR IT TO YIELD WITH SHORT RENTALS IN GRAN CANARIA

When one decides to invest in real estate to make a profit from the business of short rentals to tourists, one spends a great deal of time visiting dozens of them with the first real estate agent that comes along, and then decides to buy the one most in line with our taste…Nothing could be more wrong!!!

We spin around like spinning tops accompanied by inexperienced youngsters who open the doors of apartments they have never seen before, bamboozling us with catch phrases, invented and nonexistent merits of the property, foreshadowing the idea that there is no other property better than that one, that it is a bargain and will sell fast so let’s not let it get away…Nothing could be more wrong!!!

In my role as Property Finder I am always researching properties for sale in Gran Canaria on behalf of investors, and when colleagues or owners propose  an apartment to me, I always ask to visit it, because it is definitely hiding something …In 90% of the cases in fact the photos do not represent the reality of the property at all, they do not show the negative sides and on the contrary they exalt positive sides only in the mind of those who want to sell, but which in reality either do not exist at all or even turn out to be negative. Sea views that need a spyglass, renovations done disguisingly and even badly, very central and very comfortable areas that turn out to be noisy or on mountain laces, complexes that are wonderful but in reality hovels, apartments free of explotaciòn but in exploted complexes…in short, all stories invented by those who only want to sell without caring in the least about the buyer.

As soon as I visit a property with a representative of another real estate agency, I immediately understand, thanks to my experience and perfect knowledge of the area in which I operate,  if the person in front of me has no experience, no professionalism; it only takes me a few questions  and a few useless and above all wrong answers to call the person in front of me “a poor seller” .

The shoddy seller will never recommend a property to you in your interest but only in his interest of earning the commission, he doesn’t care if that property will then make a profit on rents, if you can even rent it out at all, if it is in a liquid area, if it is in short a good investment, if it is the right investment for you.

A right investment must have numerous peculiarities that only those who know the location of the property, the market dynamics and the needs of potential tenants can best advise you on.

Choosing the right property is not only necessary for a good rental income , but it is also necessary from a future resale perspective..we may buy the best property for our taste but if no one will rent it or no one will buy it back someday, we will not have spent our money well.

It is not easy for those who decide to invest in real estate to put into annuity, to juggle the choice on their own, it could go well certainly, but it could also go wrong and the investment turn out to be a boomerang that we will not be able to shrug off.

Therefore, it is important not only to choose the right property but also to choose who to entrust with the choice of the right property, the value of the investment proposed to us goes hand in hand with the value of those who propose it to us!

If an investment property to be put into annuity is proposed to us by a professional who works at 360°, this one will guide us in the best choice having the interest in common with the buyer to make a good purchase since later will personally take care of the eventual Renovation or Restyling, in line with the standards necessary to generate a good annuity and above all the management of the property for short rentals to tourists; could he ever advise us a wrong property that then will not rent to anyone? Absolutely not!

If, on the other hand, we entrust our purchase to an inexperienced real estate agent, he will neither know nor want to advise us for the best since has no interest in our investment then being profitable in the future, his only interest is to receive the commission on the sale.

So if you really want to invest in real estate that you can put to income and have success and continuity in the business of Short Tourist Rentals, you need to rely on an expert in the field, that is, a person who looks after your interests because at the same time they are also his or her own.

SO REMEMBER THAT YOU AND I HAVE THE SAME INTEREST IN COMMON!!!
